Adults have bad stories

I've just put my four-year-old to bed, where she told me that adults have bad stories. I'm not sure, but I think I can see where she's coming from. She gets books with things she really likes: animals mostly, getting up to mischief and cavorting about like kids, usually accompanied by fabulous pictures. Me, on the other hand, I get these bulky, squat objects with no pictures, and dense writing - that I'm sure from her perspective don't even look like they contains words - only fuzz. Poor daddy. I reassured her that I like to have a story before I go to bed. I think a bedtime story is a basic human right.
