What personal data we may collect and why

Data for marketing, including your preferences in receiving marketing from us and communication means and styles. This is processed to enable you to take part in our promotions, such as free give-aways, competitions and prize draws, to deliver relevant website content and advertisements to you, and also to measure or understand this advertising’s effectiveness. The lawful grounds for such processing are to study our customers’ behaviours in using our products/services, to develop them, to grow our business, and to decide on our marketing strategy.

We will use your personal data only for the purposes for which it was collected.

How data is collected

You will provide the data directly to us, for example by filling in forms for our newsletter/promotions on our site, registering for our blog posts, or by sending us emails. Our lawful grounds for processing your personal data to send you marketing communications is either because you have consented, or we legitimately work in pursuit of our business interests, i.e., to grow our business.

We will not share your personal data with any third party for their own marketing purposes.

Should you wish to ask us to stop sending you marketing communications, please follow the opt-out links on any marketing message sent to you, or alternatively email andycrosby@supercatchyaudio.com specifying your request.

Disclosures and sharing of your personal information

We may have to share your personal data with service providers who provide IT and system administration services. We may also share your personal data with bodies that require us to report processing activities such as the Government.

Currently we use the provider Mailer Lite. They currently store your data electronically on our behalf and their privacy policy can be found at www.mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy

We will not rent, sell or give away your Personal data to others.

How long your data will be kept

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, namely for marketing. We may delete your data before any request is made to us to do so. We may also anonymise your personal data for research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

Your legal rights

You have rights in relation to your personal data under current data protection laws. These include the right to request access, erasure, correction, restriction, transfer, to object to processing, to portability of data and to withdraw consent where this has been given previously.

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO based in the UK)) provides more information at:

https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/guide-to-the-general-data-protection-regulation-gdpr/individual-rights/

To exercise your rights, please contact andycrosby@supercatchyaudio.com

No fee will be levied to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). However, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee should your request be clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive.

To help us confirm your identity and ensure your right of access to your personal data (or to exercise your other rights) we may need to request from you some specific information. This is a security measure. It is to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. Also, we may ask you for further information in order to speed up our response time.

We try our best to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. However, sometimes it may take us longer where a request is complex or there are many requests. In this case, we will let you know of the increase in time and try to provide you with an estimate of the duration.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of how we collect and use your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk). It would be helpful if you would contact us first in the event of a complaint. This way we can try to resolve it for you.
