Clicker madness

It's a great feeling when something 'clunks' through the post, even when it's just a couple of dog clickers. Clunks and clicks - better beware of that association, especially here in Leeds, UK. You'll notice that my recent posts relate to sound, and that's because as an audio book producer, it's rather essential stuff. The clickers are for when I'm recording and I make a mistake - yes, just the one (I wish). The click, though annoying, makes a red vertical line on my wave trace of my DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), so I can find the error, delete it, and patch up with the perfect take. Of course, such instruments can be used for purposes of torture. And in the hands of four and seven year-olds, they become just that. I hide them when not using them professionally. It may be a bit tautologous to use a clicker to train a child not to use a clicker.
Pinch Points is being recorded now bit by bit, piece by piece, line by line - thank you Sondheim - so should be available for a listen very soon. So, its very busy busy here at Grand SuperCatchy Station; with 5-Wires at about 25K words; The Sin Membrane, a short story, being edited and expanded - improved? probably; and Andy's Trombone being resurrected, alas, with Andy being replaced by a lad of identical features and skills, but a different name to mine own. Auto-replace is great for dropping in doppelgangers.
Anyway, I'm too busy to be doing this. I've got clickety-clicking to do.
